Closing Next Week: Ontario Electrical Tenders and PQs (October 13–16, 2026)

Next week is short. Monday, October 12 is Thanksgiving, a public holiday in Ontario, so anything due Tuesday really needs to be finished today. Below is every Ontario opportunity on our list with electrical scope that closes between Tuesday, October 13 and Friday, October 16: 11 items, plus two whose closing dates moved later on October 9 (marked below).

Every item was checked on its public bids&tenders page on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Times are Eastern as the portal shows them. Addenda can move a date, so confirm on the buyer page before you submit.

Tuesday, October 13

Region of Peel — Snow Storage Facility, 1875 North Sheridan Way, Mississauga
2026-484T closes at 12:00 PM. It's a civil job (asphalt pad, drainage, culverts), but the published scope includes site lighting. That makes it a sub play: call the general contractors (GCs) on the plan-taker list today, not on Tuesday morning.

Wednesday, October 14

Region of Peel — Erindale Terrace prequalification (windows, MAU, DHW, electrical upgrade)
2026-463PQ now closes at 12:00 PM. The 81-unit occupied townhouse complex is at 6025 and 6045 Glen Erin Drive in Mississauga. This is a contractor prequalification (PQ), so electrical shops should line up with a prime that plans to prequalify.

City of Pickering — Rick Hull Tennis Court Lighting Replacement
Q2026-36 now closes Monday, October 19 (moved from October 14; updated Oct 9). Registration closed September 28, so this one is only for shops that already registered.

Region of Waterloo — Landfill Gas Control Plant Panel Upgrade (PQ)
PQ2026-27 closes at 2:00:59 PM. The work is to replace the control panel that runs the landfill gas blowers, analyzers and valves at 1001 Erb Street West. Online submissions only, and the question window has closed.

City of Brampton — Rose Theatre Stage Rigging Upgrade
T2026-275 closes at 2:00 PM. It covers motorized and counterweight line sets, rigging controls and the electrical infrastructure that goes with them at The Rose, 1 Theatre Lane.

City of Mississauga — MSEC Sports Dome Replacement (GC prequalification)
PRC005573 closes at 2:00 PM. It's for GCs, but the scope includes supplying, installing, testing and commissioning a new 580 kW emergency generator. Generator and electrical subs should get in touch with the GCs bidding it.

Thursday, October 15

Region of Waterloo — WRH 416 Kingscourt Electrical Upgrades (PQ)
PQ2026-26 closes at 2:00:59 PM. It prequalifies electrical contractors for a future RFT, and the Region says only firms that prequalify will be invited to bid. Questions closed October 8.

City of Guelph — Hastings Stadium Lighting Retrofit
26-086 closes at 2:30:59 PM. The work is to supply and install poles and LED sports lighting, a new electrical service, conduit and wiring, and a control post at Hastings Field, to IES RP-6-24 and NCAA lighting standards.

Friday, October 16

Town of Georgina — Pathway Lighting (Keswick)
OID2026-059 closes at 2:00 PM. New poles and luminaires along about 100 metres of existing asphalt pathway, a good size for a small shop. Questions close today, Friday, October 9 at 2:00 PM.

Region of Peel — Clarkson WWTP Primary Clarifier No. 3 Travelling Bridge Replacement
2026-229T now closes Friday, October 30 (moved from October 16; updated Oct 9). Inside the mechanical scope is a new control panel and full SCADA integration through a dedicated wireless gateway. The question deadline may have moved with it, so check the posting before you send questions.

Region of Peel — Wireless Security System, Chapelview Place and Snelgrove Place
2026-356T closes at 12:00 PM. The work is to remove the existing security system and replace it with a new wireless one. It fits low-voltage and security shops.

Town of Newmarket — 320 Alex Doner Drive Site Enhancements
RFP-2026-151 closes at 4:00 PM. The work is stormwater pond retrofits, a boardwalk, a trail and lighting. It's non-binding, and the lighting is a sub package under a civil prime.

One more date to note

The question deadline for TDSB's VK27-036T Stage Lighting at Weston Memorial JPS is Friday, October 16 at noon, ahead of an October 23 close. Only bidders already on TDSB's prequalified vendor list can bid, so check your status before pricing. Bids over $500K need digital labour and material bonds and performance bonds.

Today, decide go or no-go on Tuesday's and Wednesday's closings, and send any questions due next week. The PQs (Peel 2026-463PQ and both Waterloo items) decide who gets invited to the later tenders.
