Closing Next Week: Ontario Electrical Tenders and PQs (October 26–30, 2026)

Bid Scout · Fri Oct 23, 2026 · 7:08 AM ET

Six Ontario opportunities with electrical scope close between Monday, October 26 and Friday, October 30, from a wireless security swap in Peel to a pathway lighting job in Keswick that just got another week. Three question deadlines land before then, and one of them is today, Friday, October 23.

Every item was checked as Open on its public bids&tenders page on Thursday, October 22, 2026. Times are Eastern as the portal shows them. Addenda can move a date, so confirm on the buyer page before you submit.

Questions due first

Monday, October 26

Region of Peel — Wireless Security System, Chapelview Place and Snelgrove Place 2026-356T closes at noon. The work is to remove the existing security system and replace it with a new wireless one at both sites. There's one addendum and 14 plan takers, and the question period closed back in September, so price from the documents as issued.

York Region — Supply and Delivery of Roll-Up Generators RFT-3852-26-23059 closes at 1:00 PM. It's supply and delivery only: one 150 kW and one 450 kW multi-voltage roll-up diesel generator, with accessories. That makes it a distributor play rather than install work. There's one addendum and 14 plan takers.

Niagara Region — Fort Erie Childcare HVAC Upgrades 2026-T-150 closes at 2:00 PM. It's open only to mechanical contractors on Niagara's existing roster (Category 2 of 2024-RFSQ-203), so an electrical shop can't prime it. The scope includes a new heat pump rooftop unit and electric duct heaters, with work outside the centre's operating hours. Two plan takers are listed, which tells you who might need an electrical sub.

Tuesday, October 27

Town of Oakville — Replacement of Theatrical House Lighting System RFQ-36-2026 closes at 2:00:59 PM. The job is replacing the house lighting in both the Auditorium and the Studio Theatre at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts. Questions closed Thursday. With one addendum and five plan takers, it's still one of the smaller fields on our list.

Friday, October 30

Town of Georgina — Pathway Lighting (Keswick) OID2026-059 now closes Friday, October 30 at 2:00 PM. It was due Friday, October 23, and a second addendum is now posted, so read it before you finalize. The job is new poles and luminaires along about 100 metres of existing pathway near Hollywood Park. With 31 plan takers, expect tight pricing.

Region of Peel — Clarkson WWTP Primary Clarifier No. 3 Travelling Bridge Replacement 2026-229T closes at noon. Alongside the mechanical and structural work, the scope includes a new control panel, SCADA integration through a dedicated wireless gateway, and electrical distribution changes from MCC-6. With 36 plan takers and four addenda, this is an electrical and controls sub play to the process-mechanical primes.

Still closing today

If you're already pricing them, two items from last week's list still close today, Friday, October 23: TDSB's stage lighting at Weston Memorial JPS, VK27-036T, at 2:00 PM (two addenda; TDSB prequalified vendors only), and Newmarket's site enhancements, RFP-2026-151, at 4:00 PM, which is now at 11 addenda.

How to use this list

Send your OCDSB questions before 1:00 PM today, Friday, October 23. That prequalification decides who gets OCDSB's electrical upgrade, fire alarm and portable reconnect work. If you dropped Georgina because of the old date, you have another week, so pull the new addendum. On Peel's clarifier job, call the general contractors on the plan-taker list early in the week, before their numbers lock. bids&tenders preview pages are free, but secured documents usually need a registered account.
