Closing Next Week: Ontario Electrical Tenders and PQs (November 2–6, 2026)

Bid Scout · Fri Oct 30, 2026 · 7:08 AM ET

Eight Ontario opportunities with electrical scope close between Monday, November 2 and Friday, November 6. Three of them are prequalifications, which decide who gets to bid the real work later. Next week also brings a hard deadline on a bigger job that closes later in November.

Every bids&tenders item below was checked as Open on its public page on Thursday, October 29, 2026, and the plan-taker counts are from that check. Times are Eastern as the portals show them. Addenda can move a date, so confirm on the buyer page before you submit.

Deadlines before the closings

Monday, November 2

City of London — Pottersburg-Vauxhall Pumping Station, General Contractor Prequalification RFPQ-2026-291 closes at 2:00 PM. It prequalifies general contractors, and London describes the project as "significant concrete, civil, electrical and process mechanical works." There are 27 plan takers, and that list is your call sheet for an electrical sub number.

Tuesday, November 3

Town of Caledon — Demand and Emergency Electrical Maintenance RFT 2026-304-00-000 closes at 2:00:59 PM. It covers call-out and emergency electrical work across Town facilities and parks. Questions closed October 20, and no addenda are posted. There are 17 plan takers.

City of Barrie — Pump and Electric Motor Maintenance, SWTP and LLPS FIN2026-094Q closes at 2:00 PM. It's a 36-month services RFQ for vertical turbine and centrifugal pumps and the electric motors at Barrie's surface water treatment plant and low-lift pumping station. It's a small field, with four plan takers.

Ottawa-Carleton District School Board — Electrical Contractors Prequalified Lists 27-027 closes at 3:00 PM. OCDSB is building three lists: electrical upgrades, fire alarm upgrades and portable classroom reconnects. The board says its electrical projects typically range up to $500,000. There are 35 plan takers.

Wednesday, November 4

City of Brampton — Pedestrian Crossovers and Pedestrian Signal T2026-243 closes at 2:00 PM. The work is nine Level 2 pedestrian crossovers and one intersection pedestrian signal in school and community safety zones. It's open only to prequalified contractors, so for most electrical shops it's a sub play.

Thursday, November 5

City of Hamilton — Low Voltage Electrical Upgrades, Woodward Avenue WTP (Prequalification) C14-04-26 closes at 3:00:59 PM. It's pure LV electrical scope at a working water treatment plant, and this prequalification decides who bids the construction tender. There are 20 plan takers.

Friday, November 6

Region of Peel — Clarkson WWTP Primary Clarifier No. 3 Travelling Bridge Replacement 2026-229T closes at noon. The scope includes a new control panel and SCADA integration through a dedicated wireless gateway. With 36 plan takers, it's an electrical and controls sub play.

City of Mississauga — Mechanical and Lighting Renewal at Six Outdoor Pools PRC005612 closes at 2:00 PM. It's a general contract, but exterior lighting replacement is in scope at all six pools. With 30 plan takers, call the GCs for your lighting number.

Changes since our last check

City of Markham's fire alarm replacement at Angus Glen Community Centre and Pingle House, 058-T-26, no longer closes November 6. Addendum 1 moved the closing to November 20.

Georgina's Keswick pathway lighting, OID2026-059, which was due Friday, October 30, has been cancelled.

How to use this list

Send the Port Authority your job-walk names by Monday, before you do anything else on this list. The three prequalifications from London, OCDSB and Hamilton don't win you work this week, but they decide whose bids count later. If you're a sub on Peel, Mississauga or Brampton, call the plan takers early in the week, before their numbers lock. bids&tenders preview pages are free, but secured documents usually need a registered account.
